13 Expats Join in Anhui’s Recruitment Program
13 expats in East China's Anhui province will receive an allowance of more than 500,000 yuan ($81,300) from the local government, according to the Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of Anhui Province.
They will be the second group of overseas experts to benefit from the province's recruitment program aiming to attract about 100 high-level foreign professionals to key sectors between 2012 and 2021.
Under the program, each expat will be entitled to an allowance of 500,000 yuan as well as a subsidy roughly equivalent to 20 percent of one's salary. Research subsidies ranging from 100,000 to 150,000 yuan will also be available every year.
The 13 expats from the United States, Germany, France, Japan, Australia and New Zealand are employed by Anhui-based IT, automobile, agriculture, new material, bio-chemical, medical and metallurgical companies or institutions, said the administration.
