Up to now, of the overseas world top 500 enterprises, 65 have investments in Anhui by means of setting up joint venture or independent venture. Their investments involve more than 30 sectors such as transportation, electricity, energy, mechanical electronics, chemical industry, medicine, light industry, textile, architecture, real estate, and comprehensive service.

According to preliminary accounting，the GDP of Anhui province in 2010 was 1.22634 trillion Yuan (RMB), up 14.5% over the previous year,for seven consecutive years at the rate of double-digit growth. The added value of primary industry was 172.9 billion Yuan, up 4.5% over the previous year; that of secondary industry, 639.11 billion Yuan, up 20.7% over the previous year; and that of tertiary industry, 414.33 billion Yuan, up by 10% over the previous year. The ratio of the three industries was 14.1∶52.1∶33.8. Calculated in the resident population by the end of 2010, the GDP per capita amounted to 17,871.50 Yuan (US$2762.20).
